HUMAN RESOURCE FACILITATOR TRAINING
Each module is essential to any person/s persently working in the human resource field or who wishes to work in the human resource field. Most of the modules selected were chosen specifically for their relevance to the human resource field in general. For example:

  • School Support Programs (Guidance/Career)
  • Local Youth Programs
  • Any business/organizations which requires staff development.

Many communities and organizations have the potential to develop and train their own facilitators and trainers with respect to capacity building within. This training, upon completion, will give the trainee the ability and skills to plan and deliver training plans, workshops and conferences atthe local event and beyond.

Introduction to Training
Course Description - This introductory course is to give the trainees an opportunity and forum to get acquainted with other and share their short and long terms goals. They will be introduced to valuable tools they can use during their training period, which will enhance their learning process. For example, they will be introduced to journal writing, basic time & stress management tools, etc.

Introduction to Communication Skills
Course Description - This course will introduce the participants to the basic elements of the communication process; conditions that might hinder the communication process, a step by step breakdown of the listening process, attending skills, open and closed questions, paraphrasing and summarizing.

Conflict Resolution Skills
Course Description - This course will introduce the participants to the assumptions about conflict, naming the conflict, reacting to conflict, searching for causes, preventing and resolving conflict.

Communication and Assertiveness
Course Description - This course is an extension of the first 2 1/2 days of conflict resolution skills which deals with conflict management and conflict resolution strategies. Participants will explore the various dynamics of passive, aggressive and assertive behaviors.

Presentation Skills
Course Description - This course will introduce the participant to ten basic steps of preparing, implementing and completing a presentation of their choice.

Workshop Planning
Course Description - This course will provide the basic steps and tools to research, plan and deliver a workshop of their choice.

Group Dynamics
Course Description - This course will introduce the stages of group development. The Acquaintance stage, Groundwork stage, Working stage and Closing stage and each area of group behaviors (task-oriented, maintenance and self-oriented behaviors) in the group process will be explored.

Problem Solving
Course description - This course will introduce the six stages of the problem solving process. 1. State the problem 2. Gather information 3. Set goals 4. Plan action 5. Take action 6. Evaluate

Leadership Seminar
Course Description - This course will provide information on what qualities make a good leader? What style of leadership do we have? Which style of leadership works best?

Cross Cultural Training
Course Description - This course will introduce the participant to the definition of culture, assumptions we make about other cultures. Interactive structured exercises to create an awareness of our own beliefs, attitudes and values.

Computer Training
Course Description - This computer course will be delivered under the IC3 program. They will be introduced to the basics of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, Learn basic troubleshooting techniques. Understand what the internet is and how to connect to the internet, via email, etc.

Report Writing
Course Description - This course will provide the basic steps to prepare a basic writing plan for all reports, incident reports, project reports, progress reports and formal reports, etc.

Proposal Writing
Course Description - This course will provide the basic steps to preparing a proposal for requesting funds for community and organizational needs. We will also provide a variety of tool searchesto seek funding and create a network of potential resources.

Ethics/Policies/Procedures
Course Description - This module will provide information on the importance of ethics in the workplace and how policies and procedures are vital to staff and organizational development.

Training Design
Course Description - This module will enable the participant to begin the basic steps to designing training programs whether they are short or long term trainings. The trainee will explore how to assess, design, develop, implement and evaluate your training package to meet the needs of your target goals and needs. What are program objectives? What is your end result?

Training Delivery
Course Description - The next step of your training design is to explain the "how" to? What is your action plan and outcomes? What are your delivery methods? Powerpoint presentations? Structured exercieses (Small/Large Group work)?

Strategic Human Resource Planning
Course Description - One of the biggest challenges many organizations face in today's world is knowing if they are going in the right direction? How do they get there? ...and what skills and knowledge does their existing staff or employers have to help them get there? Assessing your organization and knowing what to do with your strategic plan is what will be explored in this module.

Final Module/Graduation Planning
Course Description - This final module will be the final module of the training and the trainees will be given the opportunity as how they plan to design and deliver their closing nodule with respect to their graduation and closure.

PATAL Vocational School is willing to assist in setting up a host location for training delivery. We will work with the interested parties to set up a training location and accommodations for training participants with regards to negotiating with local hotels to minimize costs.
